LILLY’S WEEKLY TRENDS

Paul Walker – Tragedy hit on Saturday when the news that Paul Walker from The Fast and Furious series had died. Walker was pronounced dead at 3:30 p.m. in Valencia, California, when he was a passenger in a friend’s car, which crashed and then burst into flames. Walker left behind a daughter, Meadow Walker, and his beloved family and fans.

Bound 3 – Who doesn’t love James Franco and Seth Rogen? How about the two together? Well, after the release of Kanye West’s song “Bound 2,” featuring the one and only Kim Kardashian, the Franco-Rogen duo made a parody of it. Franco played Kanye and Rogen was Kardashian. If you haven’t seen it yet, you need to YouTube it immediately. It might be a little weird at first, but this is something you cannot miss out on.

Adderall – ‘Tis the season for tests and breakdowns, but nothing says finals like good ol’ Adderall. For college students, this prescribed drug for people who have ADHD, is very valuable. This pill will make you focus and read full textbooks in one night, but I am not here to tell you to take Adderall or sell it if you are prescribed it.

Auburn vs. Alabama – Another chapter in this historic rivalry turned out to be on for the ages. On Saturday, Auburn and Alabama competed against each other in the annual Iron Bowl. With one second left in regulation and the game tied 28-28, Alabama’s Adam Griffith missed a 57-yard field goal. But Auburn’s Chris Davis, who was standing in the back of the end zone, caught the ball and returned it 100-plus yards for a touchdown and a 34-28 win to knock Alabama off as the No. 1 team in the country. Best college football game of the season thus far, and who knows if we’ll ever see another game end like that.

Catching Fire – Catching Fire, the second part of the Hunger Game Series, came out Friday and made $110.1 million over the weekend. This is the second book-to-movie of the famous trilogy. If you haven’t read the book and want to see the movie, you will not be confused, it is that good. Want to see the first Hunger Games? There’s always your friend Netflix who has it.
