WiFi Finder is an app that finds free and paid public WiFi hotspots online or offline. There are over 650,00 locations in 144 countries worldwide. This app can help you when you are away from the BSU campus or when you are studying abroad for a semester. This is perfect for that sudden skype session or when you just want to check your Facebook but don’t want to use that data plan.
With a few weeks left until summer, it’s time to amp up your fitness routine to prepare for bathing suit season. A great way to stay motivated is to get fun workout clothes. Patterned sneakers, and bright, neon clothes are great options. Sport and fashion stores also offer great workout headbands in fun prints and styles. In stead of treating yourself to a dessert at the end of your workout, try a new running top.
The weather is getting nicer and everyone is breaking out the Sperry’s and flip flops. For a spring shoe that is also comfortable and fashionable check out TOMS. TOMS are light and made of canvas so they can be the comfy everyday shoe. For every shoe bought, TOMS will donate a pair to a child living in poverty. TOMS is also producing eyewear, and it is the same when a pair is bought, they donate to restore the vision for someone else in developing countries. For more information on what TOMS do for people or to buy a pair for yourself and someone else in need, go to toms.com
Ending of Classes
The end of the school year is fast approaching and students are trying to make sure that they’re right on track. Make sure you have all your work up to date and are catching up on all your assignments. If you are far behind or are having trouble with classwork, talk to your professors so you can be prepared for your finals. If you need help with certain subjects, the Academic Achievement Center is open at 8 a.m. Monday through Friday for any extra help you need with your classes.
It is that time of the year again for Springfest weekend right before finals. This Thursday, April 24, comedians Judah Friedlander, Kevin Barnett, and Nicki Glasser will be at BSU at 8 p.m. (doors open at 7 p.m.) in the Tinsley Center. Friday, April 28 there will be BSU’s Campus MovieFest in the RCC Grand Ballroom at 7:30 p.m. (doors open at 7 p.m.). To finish off Springfest 2014, there will be a New York City trip for $20 on Saturday, April 29. For more information on Springfest go to http://www.facebook.com/PCBSU.
