• Dead Ebola Victims Left Dead on Streets

Burial teams in Sierra Leone went on strike because of a delay in receiving pay. The bodies of Ebola victims are highly contagious and have not been collected.

•North Korean Leadership in Question

The world speculates the apparent disappearance of Kim Jong-Un, the current leader of North Korea. North Korean officials claim he has been under the weather, but he has been out of the public eye since Sept. 3. Recently, NK officials began talks with South Korea, in which they admitted to having disciplinary labor camps.

• Ebola Patient Dies

Thomas Eric Duncan, 42, died on Wednesday in Texas Health Presbyterian. He was receiving the experimental drug Brincidofovir since Saturday.

• Supreme Court Places Hold on Same Sex Marriage

The U.S. Supreme Court has put a temporary block on same-sex marriage moving forward in Idaho and Nevada, after judges in the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals determined that the bans (voted in by the population) were in violation of rights. In the meantime, the order disallows gay and lesbian couples to obtain marriage licenses in those states.

• Islamic Terrorist Group Hacks Mass Maritime Website

The terrorist group known as Moroccan Islamic Union hacked Massachusetts Maritime Academy’s homepage, believing that it belonged to the U.S. Naval Academy. The
homepage revealed an image of a soldier’s grave and a threatening message in Arabic.

• Candidates for Attorney General Address College Sexual Assaults

On Wednesday, attorney general candidates arrived at Stonehill College to discuss sexual assaults. In reference to the Bridgewater State University sexual assault allegations, both Miller and Healey agreed that colleges should improve their reporting practices.
