The Hidden Treasure Consignment shop is a fabulous store full of fabulous finds. Known for selling only brand name and designer labels, Hidden Treasure is a high end consignment shop.
When you enter the shop you are welcomed by the friendly staff, including the owner of Hidden Treasure, Christina Amendola.
Amendola has owned the store since July of this year. Being only 24 years old and owning her own business, Amendola values the importance of financial stability and embraced independent, hardworking women. Her goal in running the store is to provide the savvy shopper with clothes and accessories that suit any style at a great price.
At fourteen, Amendola began working for Hidden Treasure. After graduating from Bridgewater State University, she continued working for the store, until she bought it from the original owner.
Hidden Treasure Consignment gets their supplies from clients who wish to sell their gently used or brand new items. After making an appointment, sellers go to the shop and show the pieces they wish to sell. Keep in mind that the staff is devoted to selling only brand name clothing in new or great condition. This also means that these clothes are free of stains, holes, or wrinkles.
Once they are approved to sell, the items are available to their customers. Hidden Treasure also has a continuous promotion that will keep you coming back. If an item hasn’t been sold for 30 days, it will automatically be marked down at 50% off.
Visiting the store was quite an experience. As you walk into Hidden Treasure, the walls are covered in vintage photos, inspirational quotes, and various accessories and home goods. To make the store an even more enjoyable experience, there is a sitting area where you are offered tea, coffee, or hot chocolate. Talk about retail therapy.
If you are looking for a specific article of clothing, bag, or any accessories, it can be easily spotted thanks to the staff’s great organizational skills. They each organize sections of the store by type of clothing, shoes, outerwear, and seasonal items.
This store really is a hidden treasure. With all of the unique styles and brands, this will be the perfect place for your next shopping spree. I ended up buying two cashmere sweaters, a new pair of Dolce & Gabbana sunglasses, and a pair of Coach Moccasins. At full retail it could have cost hundreds to thousands of dollars, but I only paid $50 total.
You’ll also be happy to know that Hidden Treasure Consignment shop is actually right up the street from BSU. To get there you can walk up Summer Street, right by the CVS Pharmacy, and it’s only a few stores down past Chessmen’s Pizza.
The store hours are Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on Saturdays from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Their phone number is 508-697-2828. You can also find Hidden Treasure on Facebook, and online at http://www.hiddentreasurema.com.
