President Mohler-Faria Invites BSU Students to Sexual Assault Forum
On Tuesday, Nov. 4, at 5 p.m. in the Horace Mann Auditorium, President Mohler-Faria will host an open forum for students to discuss the most recent events surrounding the issue of sexual assault on campus. In addition, he will discuss the University’s position relative to the hiring of a Level 2 sex offender.
The President states he believes it is important for the BSU community to come together and gain a better understanding of issues that impact student life.
He wishes to invite all BSU students for an open dialogue and seeks to share Bridgewater State University’s approach to creating a stronger and safer campus.
President Mohler-Faria wants student input to understand ideas, thoughts and concerns you may have about safety on campus.
This forum is open to students only and will require you to show a University ID card to gain access to the forum.
BSU announces Ms. Shiza Shahid as the President’s Fall Distinguished Speaker
The President’s Distinguished Speaker Series will feature Shiza Shahid on Wednesday, Nov.19 at
7 p.m. in Horace Mann Auditorium.
Ms. Shahid is the co-founder and global ambassador of the Malala Fund, the organization representing 2014 Nobel Peace Prize recipient Malala Yousafzai, the young Pakistani activist who was shot by the Taliban for her campaign for girls’ education.
Ms. Shahid has been named as one of TIME magazine’s “30 Under 30 World Changers,” Forbes “30 Under 30″ list of social entrepreneurs and, most recently, Fortune magazine’s “55 Most Influential Women on Twitter.”
This event is free, but registration is required.
Boston Cultural Cafe
On Monday, Nov. 3 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. in RCC Large Ballroom, Program Council will introduce Boston Cultural Cafe. Come enjoy a huge assortment of food representing four of the major Boston neighborhoods: the North End, the South End, the Common, and the theater district’s Asian neighborhoods.
