Campus Holiday Closing Information
The 2014 – 2015 holiday closing will extend from Dec. 25 through Jan. 2. During this time period, all buildings on campus will be closed. Boyden Hall, Power Plant, University Police and the Mailroom will remain open. All other buildings and departments on campus will reopen on Monday, January 5, 2015.
Those employees not required to be present during the closing period will need to utilize accrued vacation or personal leave, accrued compensatory time (classified employees only), holiday time, or flexible scheduling (APA staff). For employees who work a Monday – Friday schedule, five workdays will need to be accounted for. Employees with a work schedule other than Monday – Friday will need to cover the number of workdays that will occur from December 25, 2014 to January 2, 2015.

Mid-Year Symposium of Undergraduate Research & Creative Scholarship
The Mid-Year Symposium (MYS)—a showcase of student research and creative scholarship from 100- and 200-level courses—is held in the Rondileau Campus Center (RCC) ballroom and meeting rooms. BSU’s Office of Undergraduate Research sponsors the MYS in celebration of early undergraduate scholarship and creative scholarship conducted by students in any lower-division course.The event will be held Dec. 8 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
