Is it even really Christmas if you didn’t do some last minute shopping? It’s supposed to be the most wonderful time of the year. Too bad everyone is so busy trying to get work done before the holidays to give thought to gifts anymore.
It might not even be that you are busy. You may just be a procrastinator, which is fine, because I am going to tell you what to do when you are last minute Christmas shopping and have no idea what to get someone.
Cups, mugs and mason jars. Everyone needs something drink out of, and who doesn’t like candy? Take one of those cup options and fill it with candy. Tie a bow or ribbon around it and boom, done. For this gift, if you don’t know what kind of candy they like, pick a bunch of different kinds.
You also can’t go wrong with gift cards. Gift cards are beautiful creations, because the gift giver doesn’t actually have to put any thought into the gift itself. You just have to pay attention to where the person you are giving the gift to shops.
If you want to get a little more personal with your gift, find a picture of you and the person you are giving the gift to and frame it.
Something else you can’t go wrong with buying are candles. Who doesn’t love the smell of gingerbread or pine tree scented candle around this time of year?
Scarves, mittens and hats can be another good gift, too. They’ll need some for the cold temperatures. For this one you may have to know this person’s sense of style, but you can never go wrong with classic black or white!
If you want to be a little more creative on your last minute gifts, I recommend looking on Pinterest, which has many cute and simple ideas for holiday gifts. It is very helpful if you are not that creative, but still want to give them a special gift.
Lastly, for all you bakers out there, baking homemade treats are perfect. I usually make chocolate covered pretzels and put them in decorative baggies with a ribbon tie.
These treats are really quick and easy to make. All you have to do is melt chocolate, and then dip the pretzels in the chocolate, fully covering them. Then you just have to lay them out to dry.
If you aren’t so cooking savvy, buying premade cookie dough and putting them in the oven will do the trick. They will still feel and taste homemade, even though it’s not.
These easy little last minute gifts are the perfect way to show your friends and loved ones how much you appreciate them.
Thought and care will go along way this holiday season, even as time is running out. On that chilly winter morning, everyone will have a smile on their face knowing you thought of them.
