-President Obama Admits Nuclear Deal Framework with Iran

President Obama admitted Tues. his nuclear deal with Iran. The U.S and European Union would lift sanction agreements with Iran. In exchange, Iran  would reduce its stockpile of low-enriched uranium and significantly scale back its number of installed centrifuges.

-London Thieves Take Up To $300 Million In Jewels

Thieves made away with up to $300 million in gems and other valuables stolen from Hatton Garden Safe Deposit company, used by many firms in London’s jewelry quarter to store their jewels. This may be the richest heist in Britain’s history.




-S. Carolina cop charged with murder for shooting black male


Michael T. Slager, 33, was charged with murder on Tues.after a video revealed him shooting and killing an apparently unarmed black male, Walter L. Scott. The officer said he feared for his life because Scott attempted to take his stun gun. However, the video shows the officer firing eight times as Walter fled.


-Widespread power outages sweep Washington, D.C.


On Tues., widespread power outages affected government operations, privately-owned buildings and the D.C’s public transit rail system. The power outage affected approximately 2,000 customers in the D.C. area. Reportedly, the outage was caused by a small explosion and fire at a power substation in southern Maryland.




-Boston Bomber Tsarnaev Guilty of all 30 counts


On Wed. April 8, a jury in Boston convicted Dzhokhar Tsarnaev on all charges. The charges ranged from carjacking to using a weapon of mass destruction resulting in death. Tsarnaev was found guilty in the deaths of Krystle Campbell, Lingzi Lu, Martin Richard and Sean Collier. Seventeen of the total 30 counts can carry the death penalty.


-Marathon Bombing Survivor to Speak at Framingham State Graduation


Heather Abbott has been named the keynote speaker for Framingham State University’s undergraduate commencement. She is scheduled to receive an honorary doctorate of humane letters during the May 17 ceremony.
