The Bridgewater State University Police Department (BSUPD) has issued two separate reports of sexual assaults in one week via email.

According to a campus crime alert issued by Lieutenant Matthew T. Rushton, “An 18-year old Bridgewater State University female student was sexually assaulted after agreeing to meet an unknown male in the area of the Rondileau Campus Center.  This female student had been communicating with the male through the social networking app, kik.”

Community members are encouraged to contact the Bridgewater State University Police should they recognize the composite drawing by calling 508-531-1212.

The BSUPD has conducted a thorough investigation, and have determined the original report to be unfounded.  Therefore BSUPD has withdrawn the original crime alert.

The second sexual assault occurred on Oct. 23. Following an investigation, 20-year-old Musa Sandi of Milton was arrested on Saturday, Oct. 24. Sandi was arrested again Sunday after allegedly intimidating a witness. He was held without bail.

According to a campus crime alert issued via email, “Police say the victim knew Sandi. Both were enrolled at the university.”

Sandi was arraigned Monday, Oct. 26 at Brockton District court.
